Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and attention to detail. Duties
- Perform TIG/MIG welding and other welding techniques on various metals, including sheet metal and structural components
- Fabricate parts according to technical drawings and specifications, ensuring accuracy and quality
- Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal pieces
- Conduct basic measurements using tape measures, calipers, and other measuring devices to ensure precise fabrication
- Assist in the assembly of fabricated components into finished products or structures
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety standards at all times
- Inspect completed work for quality assurance, making necessary adjustments or repairs as required
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship
Experience
- Proven experience in TIG/MIG welding is essential; familiarity with welding techniques is desirable
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment is required
- Knowledge of sheet metal work and mechanical assembly processes is highly advantageous
- Strong understanding of welding safety procedures and best practices
- Mechanical knowledge combined with basic maths skills for measurements and calculations
- Prior experience in fabrication or manufacturing environments will be beneficial but not mandatory; training will be provided where necessary
