Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Night Health Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to residents in our care home. This role involves delivering personalised care during night shifts, ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of individuals in a caring and professional environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be IT literate, and have a genuine interest in supporting vulnerable adults. Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Assist residents with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, and mobility during night hours
- Monitor residents’ health and well-being throughout the shift, reporting any concerns to senior staff
- Support residents with their individualised care plans, ensuring their needs are met with dignity and respect
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in residents’ conditions using IT systems
- Respond promptly to call bells or emergency situations, providing reassurance and assistance as required
- Ensure the safety and comfort of residents by adhering to health and safety policies
- Support with light domestic duties such as tidying communal areas and preparing for the day ahead
- Communicate effectively with team members, residents, and their families to ensure seamless care delivery
Qualifications
- Experience working in a care home or providing home care support is advantageous but not essential
- Valid driving licence is preferred for roles requiring community visits or transportation support
- Good command of English language skills for effective communication with residents and team members
- Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate records and updating care plans
- Strong communication skills, empathy, and a caring attitude towards vulnerable adults
- Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining high standards of care
- Flexibility to work night hours on a rota basis, including weekends if required

Pay: £24,420.00-£34,786.70 per year
