Get paid while you learn! We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice to join our team in Leicester. This is a fantastic opportunity that doesn't come around often, and it's ideal for someone as passionate about hair as we are!
The main day is Saturday and we ask for two other days, prefably a Thursday or Friday but definitely Saturday -that's non-negotiable. This job suits a person local to Leicester.
As an Apprentice Barber, you’ll gain hands-on experience while working under the guidance of skilled barbers who will be your mentors. You'll learn the fundamentals of barbering, including cutting, styling, and grooming hair, as well as assisting with general salon operations to ensure the best possible experience for our clients. This role is perfect for anyone looking to work toward becoming a licensed barber while gaining valuable, practical experience: one of our best stylists started in this role 4 years ago.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist senior barbers with haircuts, shaves, trims, and other grooming services.
- Perform basic barbering tasks, such as shampooing, conditioning, and scalp massages.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized work environment by sterilizing tools and equipment.
- Greet clients and assist with consultations under supervision to understand their desired styles.
- Keep your workstation well-stocked with tools, products, and supplies.
- Observe and learn various techniques for cutting, trimming, and styling hair from experienced barbers.
- Support appointment bookings and handle customer inquiries.
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure clients feel welcome and valued.
- Stay updated on the latest hair trends, cuts, and grooming methods.
- Participate in ongoing training to develop your skills and work toward certification as a licensed barber.
