About the Role
Wayfair is reinventing the way people shop for their homes and our team is tasked with building a best in class Home retail business across the UK and IE markets. In the EU Commercial Strategy and Enablement team (CSE), you will play a key part in supporting and driving Category Management to grow their business through data-driven analytics, scalable tooling solutions and streamlined processes. You will own recurring reporting, deep dives, and process execution that help the team make better decisions on assortment, pricing, promotions, and supplier performance.
This is an ideal opportunity for candidates who are interested in entering the technology and e-commerce space, developing hands-on analytical and technical skills, and working closely with core business functions to drive real impact and results.
With your highly analytical mindset, you will provide strategic direction and guidance to Category Management and strengthen their ability to take the right decisions. You’ll play a key role in building cutting edge ‘Big Data’ and leveraging these unique, proprietary, and massive datasets, coupled with a constant flow of experimentation on consumer response, to answer thorny questions that guide our go-to-market strategy. By identifying opportunities to grow our business, you’ll make sure that we have the right data to drive performance across various Wayfair’s Recipe items, from competitive pricing, to operational excellence up to having the right selection & assortment.
Being a part of EU-CSE team means you enjoy setting and driving a vision and operating analytically to get results, whilst keeping a hard focus on execution of high impact tasks for your team and yourself. Strong communication is critical for the success in the team given the interaction with various cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment is tight and priorities are agreed upon.
What You’ll Do
Ensure Category Management has the right data to drive decisions. This includes performance reports and insights across sales, margin, customer metrics, among others.
Own, build and maintain the frontend (dashboards) and backend (data structure and architecture) of tools
Apply business acumen to provide opportunities for Category Management through data-driven analyses
Conduct competitive and product category Evaluation to evaluate market trends
Drive relationships and collaboration with cross-functional teams
Run structured deep-dives to diagnose performance drivers (e.g., assortment gaps, price competitiveness, onsite visibility, promo performance, supply issues) and summarize key findings and recommendations for stakeholders.
Partner with category managers and suppliers to prepare inputs for key commercial moments (e.g., seasonal events, promotions, range reviews), including item selection, pricing checks, and performance lookbacks.
Maintain and improve inputs to key operational processes (e.g., assortment lists, hero SKUs, vendor lists, pricing and discounting files), ensuring data quality, consistency, and timely updates.
Collaborate with analytics, pricing, supply chain, and onsite merchandising teams to pull data, sanity-check results, and align on measurement approaches to drive and support strategic decisions.
Support testing and experimentation (where applicable) by contributing to test design inputs, building monitoring views, and helping interpret test outcomes.
Document recurring processes, reporting logic, and key metrics definitions so that workflows are scalable, repeatable, and easy for others to onboard to.
Identify opportunities to automate manual workflows (e.g., through improved queries, standardized templates, or better data structures) and partner with more senior analysts to implement solutions.
Communicate clearly and proactively with stakeholders on progress, risks, and trade-offs, escalating issues when timelines or quality may be at risk.
