We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Vehicle Technician to join our automotive service team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicle systems with precision and efficiency. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your technical expertise in a fast-paced environment, ensuring customer satisfaction through high-quality service. The position offers competitive pay and is suitable for individuals passionate about automotive diagnostics and repairs. Peugeot experience would be a benefit but is not essential, as would MOT tester status.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic assessments using specialised equipment and schematics to identify faults on a variety of vehicles, preferably including ELECTRIC vehicles.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, brakes, and electrical components, preferably including ELECTRIC vehicles.
- Utilise hand and power tools to execute repairs safely and effectively.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to guide repair procedures accurately.
- Perform assembly tasks during vehicle rebuilds or component replacements.
- Carry out some equipment repair and maintenance to ensure operational efficiency of diagnostic tools and workshop machinery.
- Undertake heavy lifting when handling vehicle parts or components, adhering to safety guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all safety protocols are followed at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with vehicle diagnostics, repair, and maintenance.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical manuals.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools and other workshop machinery.
- Experience with assembly processes and equipment repair is desirable.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods during shifts.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive technology or related fields are preferred but not essential.

Pay: £30,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
