Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for delivering exceptional guest service and have experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary knowledge, enhance your hospitality skills, and contribute to creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. Previous experience in food service, excellent time management, and a proactive attitude are highly valued. You will be joining the new opening restaurant in Disley.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive table service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special requests are noted and fulfilled
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and maximise sales opportunities
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations at all times
- Assist with basic food preparation when necessary, supporting kitchen staff as required
- Manage guest queries promptly, resolving issues to ensure a positive dining experience
- Clear tables efficiently, maintaining cleanliness in the dining area during service
- Handle cash or electronic payments accurately, providing correct change or receipts
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant serving roles is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tables simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour to engage with guests effectively
- Good understanding of basic maths for billing and transaction purposes
- Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment while maintaining professionalism
- A proactive approach to guest services with a focus on delivering memorable experiences
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including evenings and weekends as required
