Shred Station is looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and hard-working HGV Class 2 Driver to join our growing team based at our Norwich depot.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and expanding company, carrying out local day runs in a modern Class 2 box lorry. Your role will involve collecting electrical waste (WEEE) from local authority recycling centres and transporting it safely back to our Rackheath depot for processing.
With no long-distance trunking, you'll enjoy varied local work while returning home every evening.
In addition to a starting salary of £31,075.20 per annum (based on a minimum 40-hour contract), you'll have the opportunity to earn up to £200 per month through our Driver Bonus Scheme, rewarding safe driving, excellent attendance, compliance and high standards of performance.

The Role
As part of our transport team, you will:
- Carry out local day runs across Norfolk and the surrounding areas.
- Collect electrical waste (WEEE) from local authority recycling centres.
- Transport all collected materials safely back to our Rackheath depot.
- Operate a modern Class 2 box lorry.
- Start between 5:00am and 6:00am, Monday to Friday.
- Finish once the day's work has been completed.
- Return home every evening.
Main Duties
- Carry out daily collections safely, efficiently and professionally.
- Load and unload electrical waste in accordance with company procedures and Health & Safety requirements.
- Complete daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects promptly.
- Complete electronic collection notes and associated paperwork accurately.
- Comply with all DVSA regulations, Drivers' Hours legislation, the Working Time Directive and company policies.
- Maintain a clean, tidy and roadworthy vehicle.
- Represent Shred Station professionally when dealing with customers, site staff and members of the public.
What You'll Need
- Valid Category C (Class 2) Driving Licence.
- Driver CPC Qualification Card.
- Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous Class 2 driving experience (preferred).
- A positive attitude with excellent customer service skills.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual handling duties.
- Reliable, flexible and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Willing to undertake occasional overnight stays should business requirements require them.
Security Screening
Due to the nature of our business, successful applicants will be required to complete security screening to BS7858 standards, including:
- Five-year employment and residence history check.
- DBS check.
- Financial history check.
Additional security vetting, including checks by UK Police Forces and up to UK Government Security Clearance (SC) level, may also be required depending on customer requirements.

Experience
- Class 2 (Category C) driving: 1 year (preferred)
- Multi-drop or collection driving experience (preferred)
