Location: Peterborough | Shift: Rotating shift pattern (days & nights)
We're looking for an Electrical Maintenance Shift Engineer to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of critical electrical systems within a data centre environment in Peterborough. You'll play a key role in keeping essential infrastructure running safely and efficiently, working both independently and as part of a team.
Role Responsibilities:
Carry out maintenance, testing and fault-finding on critical assets including generators and UPS systems
Complete repairs and update maintenance work orders accurately and on time
Use appropriate tools and test equipment safely, understanding their limitations
Follow strict health and safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (no live working)
Support Authorised Person (AP) duties and maintain high housekeeping standards
Required Qualifications:
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation with AM2
18th Edition (BS 7671) qualification
Strong understanding of electrical systems, plant, and controls

Week 2: 3 days on, 1 off, 3 nights on
Week 3: 3 off, 4 days on
Week 4: 7 off
Week 5: 7 off
You'll also complete 5 additional cover days across the year, arranged in advance with your Line Manager at a mutually agreed time.
