Duties
- Prepare a variety of deli foods including sandwiches, salads, cold cuts, and cheese platters with precision and care
- Serve customers efficiently while providing excellent customer service and upselling additional items to enhance their experience
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area in accordance with food safety standards
- Restock shelves and display cases to ensure fresh products are always available for customers
- Assist with food safety procedures such as proper storage, labeling, and handling of perishable items
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality
- Support kitchen operations by assisting with basic food preparation tasks as needed
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or restaurant service is highly desirable
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in handling perishable goods
- Experience serving customers in a fast-paced environment enhances your ability to excel in this role
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and managing inventory levels
- Kitchen or culinary experience is a plus, demonstrating comfort working with various food items
