Job Overview
We are seeking experienced and reliable Carpenters specialising in roofing, joisting, and general improvement work to join our construction team. Responsibilities
- Construct, install, and repair roofing structures, joists, and frameworks using a variety of hand tools and power tools
- Fabricate and assemble timber components according to specifications
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely to handle materials and structural elements
- Assist with construction painting, masonry, plumbing, and electrical work as required to support project completion
- Ensure all carpentry work complies with safety regulations and building codes
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute construction activities efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organised worksite to promote safety and productivity
- Interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications accurately for precise execution of tasks
Qualifications
- Proven experience in carpentry, roofing, joisting, or related construction trades
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and joinery techniques
- Knowledge of fabrication and assembly processes within the construction industry
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Familiarity with construction painting, masonry, plumbing, electrical systems is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in carpentry or building trades are preferred but not essential
