Workshop Technician (Experienced Training Role)
Ruabon, Wrexham | Monday to Thursday 8:00am–4:30pm, Friday 8:00am–2:30pm | Permanent, Full-time

At RB Mechanical Seals we are a UK manufacturer of mechanical seals, precision equipment and rotating equipment. We design and manufacture our own products as well as repair and rebuild existing pumps, mixers and specialist components for industries including food production, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and wastewater. Most of what we do is bespoke, which means every job needs thinking about, not just repeating.
We're looking for someone to join our small workshop team and learn the trade properly, on the job.
The Role
You'll work alongside experienced engineers, getting hands-on with real engineering work from day one. That means stripping, inspecting and rebuilding rotating equipment, learning to use manual lathes, milling machines and other equipment, measuring and checking components, and occasionally supporting engineers on site.
This is not a college-style apprenticeship. We're looking for someone mature, reliable and practical not someone starting out, but someone with a good foundation of practical skills who is ready to go further.
About You
You'll have a background in something hands-on like mechanical fitting, maintenance, fabrication or similar and you'll want to build on it. You don't need to know everything already. You need to be good with your hands, take pride in your work, and want to learn properly.
