Evening Cleaning Team Leader
Part-Time Permanent | Monday-Friday | 15-20 Hours Per Week

The Role
We're looking for an experienced, reliable and motivated Evening Cleaning Team Leader to lead one of our valued commercial customer sites.
This is a hands-on leadership role, giving you the opportunity to take ownership of the evening operation while working alongside your team. You'll lead by example, maintain exceptional cleaning standards, support and motivate your colleagues, build a positive relationship with our customer, and ensure the site is left clean, safe and secure at the end of every shift.
Working within a healthcare environment, you'll play a key role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and infection prevention while ensuring the smooth running of the evening shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out your own cleaning duties to a consistently high standard.
- Lead, support and motivate the evening cleaning team.
- Be the first point of contact for both the customer and the on-site team.
- Build and maintain a positive professional relationship with the customer.
- Allocate daily tasks and ensure all scheduled work is completed to the required standard.
- Carry out regular quality inspections throughout the shift.
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and infection prevention across the site.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with company procedures and health and safety requirements.
- Check staff are following cleaning procedures and working safely.
- Monitor staff attendance and report any performance or attendance concerns to management.
- Support the induction and training of new team members where required.
- Ensure cleaning cupboards remain organised and fully stocked, reporting any stock requirements promptly.
- Report maintenance issues, damages or health and safety concerns to management.
- Deal professionally with day-to-day issues and escalate concerns where appropriate.
- Lock and secure the premises at the end of each shift.
- Communicate effectively with management, providing updates when required.
We're Looking For Someone Who
- Has previous cleaning experience.
- Has previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Is confident leading a team while working alongside them.
- Has excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Can build positive working relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Is organised, dependable and takes pride in maintaining exceptionally high standards.
- Has excellent attention to detail.
- Is confident making decisions, solving problems and using their own initiative.
- Remains calm under pressure and can adapt to changing priorities.
- Is physically fit and capable of carrying out a demanding, hands-on cleaning role.
- Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to their own reliable vehicle.
- Is reliable, trustworthy and professional at all times.
