Overview
We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Care & Support Workers to deliver high-quality, person-centred support across a range of settings throughout South Wales. Our services support older people, adults with additional needs, children and young people in residential settings, families, and individuals receiving domiciliary care.
This role involves providing practical assistance, emotional support, and safeguarding to help individuals live safely, independently, and with dignity. Successful applicants will demonstrate a genuine commitment to making a positive difference and upholding the highest standards of care.
Relevant experience in elderly care, dementia care, adult support, children’s residential services, family support, or domiciliary care is highly desirable.
All roles are paid positions, including internships.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care support including bathing, dressing, grooming, and continence care where required
- Support individuals with medication administration in line with care plans and organisational policies
- Assist with meal preparation, ensuring dietary, cultural, and nutritional needs are met
- Support mobility, including safe moving and handling and heavy lifting where required
- Implement and follow personalised care and support plans developed by healthcare and social care professionals
- Manage and respond appropriately to challenging behaviour using approved behaviour support techniques
- Offer emotional support, reassurance, and meaningful companionship
- Carry out light domestic tasks to maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment
- Transport individuals to appointments, education, family contact, or social activities as required
- Accurately document daily records, observations, and report any changes in health, behaviour, or wellbeing
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and professionals to ensure consistent and effective care
Skills, Experience & Requirements
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, with the ability to transport individuals safely
- First Aid certification is essential; additional qualifications or experience in nursing, hospice care, or specialist support are advantageous
- Knowledge of medication administration and basic medical terminology
- Experience within care homes, domiciliary care, supported living, children’s residential services, or family support settings
- Strong understanding of dementia, Alzheimer’s, learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, and behavioural challenges
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage empathetically with individuals of all ages
- Physically capable of meeting the demands of the role, including safe moving and handling
- Highly organised, reliable, and able to follow detailed care plans accurately

Pay: From £14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1 – 60 per week
