Job Overview
Stirling Timepieces is looking for a highly organised and detail-focused Fulfilment & Operations Coordinator to join our growing operations team.
Picking, packing and dispatching customer orders sits at the core of the role, but this is not a traditional warehouse picker/packer position.
Our fulfilment operation involves high-value watches, bespoke customer projects, individual serial numbers, ecommerce systems, inventory software and multiple courier platforms. Accuracy is therefore critical.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work but is equally confident using systems, managing order information and spotting when something does not look right.
You will play an important part in ensuring orders are processed, checked and dispatched accurately while supporting the wider day-to-day fulfilment and operations function.
Key Responsibilities
Order Fulfilment
- Pick, prepare and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Check orders carefully before dispatch
- Prepare shipping labels
- Dispatch orders using the correct courier and logistics platforms
- Ensure packaging meets Stirling Timepieces' presentation and quality standards
- Handle high-value watches and accessories with care
- Manage incoming and outgoing courier collections and deliveries
- Investigate order discrepancies before products are dispatched
Systems and Order Management
A significant part of the role involves working confidently across our operational systems, including:
- Shopify
- Mintsoft
- courier and logistics platforms
- inventory and stock-management systems
- internal order and project-management tools
You will be expected to:
- check order information;
- verify delivery details;
- update fulfilment records;
- identify discrepancies;
- investigate order or inventory issues;
- ensure physical stock matches the information held within our systems.
Previous experience with these exact platforms is useful but not essential. Full training will be provided.
Bespoke and Special Project Orders
Stirling Timepieces produces bespoke watches for military units, police teams, charities, organisations and other groups around the world.
These orders often require considerably more attention than a standard ecommerce order.
You may be responsible for checking and preparing orders involving:
- specific serial numbers;
- individual engravings;
- bespoke casebacks;
- different straps or accessories;
- custom packaging;
- customer-specific requirements;
- multiple watches within larger project orders.
For this reason, excellent attention to detail is one of the most important requirements of the role.
An incorrect serial number, engraving or allocation can create significant problems later in the fulfilment process, so we are looking for someone who naturally checks their own work and takes pride in getting things right.
Stock and Inventory
- Receive and check incoming stock deliveries
- Count and reconcile products and components
- Assist with regular stocktakes
- Investigate stock discrepancies
- Maintain organised stock locations
- Support accurate inventory records
- Prepare stock for product launches, promotions and larger customer projects
Fulfilment Quality Control
You will be responsible for ensuring orders are correct and presentation-ready before they leave the building.
This includes:
- checking the correct product has been picked;
- confirming serial numbers where required;
- checking engravings and other customer-specific details;
- confirming straps and accessories;
- checking packaging;
- verifying quantities;
- ensuring the correct shipping details are applied;
- carrying out final fulfilment checks before dispatch.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who is reliable, methodical and highly accurate.
You should have:
- excellent attention to detail;
- strong organisational skills;
- confidence using computer systems;
- the ability to learn new software quickly;
- good time-management skills;
- a methodical approach to repetitive tasks;
- the ability to work independently;
- strong teamwork skills;
- confidence handling valuable products;
- a willingness to take ownership when something does not look right.
Previous experience in fulfilment, ecommerce, logistics, warehousing, dispatch or inventory would be beneficial, but attitude, reliability and accuracy are equally important.
Experience with Shopify, Mintsoft or courier-management systems would be advantageous but is not essential.
The Type of Person Who Will Do Well Here
You will likely enjoy this role if you:
- notice small details;
- naturally double-check your work;
- enjoy keeping things organised;
- like understanding how a process works from beginning to end;
- are comfortable switching between physical work and computer systems;
- take responsibility rather than passing problems on;
- enjoy working within a small, growing team.
Why Join Stirling Timepieces?
Stirling Timepieces is a growing independent British watch company with strong military roots and customers around the world.
You will be joining a small team where your work has a direct impact on the customer experience and the day-to-day operation of the business.
The role offers the opportunity to:
- join a growing British watch brand;
- develop experience across fulfilment, ecommerce and operations;
- work on unusual and bespoke customer projects;
- build your systems and logistics knowledge;
- take genuine ownership of an important area of the business;
- contribute to improving how the fulfilment operation works;
- grow your responsibilities as the company expands.
This is a role for someone who wants to become an important part of the operation, not simply pick and pack boxes.
Pay: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Stamford, Lincolnshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
