Job Title: Painter and Decorator
Rate of Pay: £15.00 per hour
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
Total Weekly Contractual Hours: 39 hours

We are looking for an experienced Painter and Decorator to carry out internal and external painting and decorating works in and around Plymouth.
You'll be erecting access equipment as required, with appropriate training and all necessary access plant and temporary screening as and when required to protect the environment and people.
You will ensure all works are carried out to a high standard and all painting and decorating equipment is kept clean.
The ideal candidate will hold a recognised qualification or have a minimum of 5 years checkable experience in Painting and preferably has served a recognised apprenticeship. You'll be organised, self-motivated and have good communication and customer service skills.

Job Role & Responsibilities
- Carry out internal and external painting and decorating requirements as instructed to a high standard
- To carry out preparation works to walls to make good ready for decoration.
- Minor repairs to surfaces and structures prior to decorating/painting.
- Use tools and equipment within safety guidelines as necessary for the completion of works.
- Notify your line manager of any complaints/discrepancies
Experience & Qualifications
- A full driving licence is preferable
- Preferable has served a recognised apprenticeship.
- Good knowledge of all aspects of Health and Safety
- Is capable of carrying out all duties associated with carrying out the role of painter/decorator
- Good communication and customer service skills
