Location: Community venues across Surrey, (primarily Guildford and Woking)
Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week (Mon - Fri 9am to 5.30pm with occasional weekends and evenings)
Salary: £30,030
Annual Leave: 33 days (including bank holidays)
Training: Fully paid, with ongoing development opportunities
Start date: August (for September academic year start)
We are seeking a Year Leader to design and deliver exceptional, community-based learning sessions on our Building Futures and new Building Destinations Programme. You will lead engaging, person-centred learning for groups of young adults with SEND across Guildford and Woking.

Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver person-centred, goal-orientated sessions (please see the example timetable below)
Support groups of 6–12 learners
Providing a high level of service to participants, colleagues and stakeholders
Ensure a safe, caring, responsive and well led service in line with safeguarding and regulatory requirements

An understanding of learning disabilities
Strong communication and group facilitation skills
Experience delivering person centred activities (e.g. education, youth work, events, or support roles)
Due to the physical nature of the programme and community working, a good level of fitness and stamina is required.

Applicants must be aged 18 and above, with the right to work in the UK, be willing to provide suitable reference and undertake a DBS check. The initial cost of the DBS will be paid for by halow.
