We are looking for a motivated and dedicated individual to join our close knit, supportive team within the Mental Wellness Team, part of the Vulnerable People’s Service, as a full-time Section Manager - Mental Wellness.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a social care mental health setting, supporting individuals with severe and enduring mental health conditions that impact their daily functioning and quality of life. You will work in partnership with health colleagues in Community Mental Health Teams, using a collaborative and person-centred approach with a strong focus on recovery, reablement and outcome-based planning. There is much scope to develop these working relationships and improve joint working.
The role will lead and support our Team Managers and practitioners to meet the Council’s duties under the Mental Health Act, ensuring that people who have been detained in hospital receive the right support and aftercare when they return to the community. The successful candidate will be proactive in looking at new ways of addressing issues to promote best practice. Strong communication, organisational and partnership working skills are essential, along with a compassionate and person-centred approach
You will be supported through regular formal supervision and a range of ongoing development opportunities, alongside a strong team ethos that values support, learning and professional growth.
Due to the nature of the post the successful candidates will be subject to a disclosure by the Disclosure and Barring Service.
