We are looking for a Hospitality Supervisor to join our team at the The Royal College of Art, based in Kensington, London, SW7.
As a Hospitality Supervisor for BaxterStorey, you will be responsible for the overall co-ordination of an events. Supporting the Manager to run and coordinate the team during events as well as assisting the restaurant and cafe service when hospitality services are less busy.
Royal College of Art is formed of 3 campuses. This role will predominantly be based in the main site, Kensington, but their will be occasions the successful candidate will need to support other locations in Battersea and White City. There is a free internal shuttle bus which runs throughout the day to all locations.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities

Event Setup and Execution – Prepare and set up drinks, food, and event services to a high standard. Oversee the flow of events, including food service, beverage distribution, and guest interactions. Ensure events commence on schedule and are cleared promptly, maintaining operational efficiency.

Client Support and Service Excellence – Serve as the primary support contact for event bookers, addressing queries, requests, and special requirements with professionalism. Foster positive relationships with clients and guests, solicit feedback, and demonstrate commitment to continuous service improvement.

Inventory and Planning – Manage inventory and order supplies to maintain adequate stock levels. Plan ahead for operational requirements, anticipating needs and preparing accordingly.

Operational Flexibility – Support other areas of the catering operation when hospitality bookings are minimal, ensuring resources are utilised effectively across the organisation.
Qualifications

Previous experience within the hospitality industry

Have a contagious passion for food and customer service.

You draw satisfaction from supervising, training, and supporting a team.

Understanding of delegation skills.

Excellent organisational abilities; high attention to detail

Concise and effective verbal and written communication
