Job Title – Operations Controller (FTC – Shift Pattern)

We are seeking dedicated, hardworking and safety-conscious Operations Controllers to join our team in Goole.
With over 50 years of experience, Weedfree limited is a market leader in weed control and vegetation management. We specialise in serving the rail industry, local authorities, utilities, and power generators. Our work includes herbicide application, vegetation clearance, waste removal, on track machine operatives in challenging environments such as railways, highways, and industrial areas.
About the Role:
This role is on an initial 16 week FTC from September to December, upon successful completion you could be offered a permanent role within Weedfree as part of our expanding team.
Reporting to the operations manager, this role works within a team of operations controllers working on a 24-hour rota, 7 days per week. The team have responsibility for the control, monitoring and delivery of all operational aspects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide effective leadership, communication and direction to ensure delivery of collective operational performance.
- To deal with the reporting and recording of any incidents, accidents, environmental occurrences in a professional and efficient manner, informing the appropriate parties in the correct timescales.
- To manage all aspects of Weedfree’s operations including staff issues and enable successful completion of their shifts.
- To assist with the management of all personnel on their shift in terms of short term changes, sickness and exceedances.
- To produce detailed shift reports that included detailed operational delivery reports to the requirements of the business.
- Develop and maintain procedures for operational delivery, including risk assessments, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other documents.
- Ensure all aspects of operational delivery are recorded on the purpose built database
Essential criteria
- Ability to work a shift pattern that includes working nights, days and weekends
- Strong awareness of health and safety practice
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong IT Competency
- Excellent written and spoken English
Successful candidates must have their own means of transport as our Head Office has no access to public transport systems.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £115.00-£135.00 per day
