Currently, we are recruiting a University Tutor to join us for a 6-month fixed term period, to assist with some temporary teaching requirements and supervision of Student Ambassadors.
The Role:
The post of University Tutor primarily involves supporting teaching for the production of short film and television exercises/projects, and you will be in an excellent position to use your strong background as a production manager in the scripted film and TV industry, to pass on valuable skills to our students.
The role will also give you the opportunity to use your experience of managing film crews and production teams to mentor and supervise students, in turn contributing to the delivery of our successful undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Film and Television production.
Your excellent communication skills and working knowledge of UK film and TV industry will allow you to effectively deliver workshops, support and instruct on budgeting and scheduling using industry-standard software (e.g., Movie Magic); film production protocols and legal requirements; project delivery standards; and other legal and financial aspects of production.

What we will need from you:

BA/BSc or equivalent in film production or related subject OR equivalent, relevant professional experience.
Experience working as a production manager in the scripted film and TV industry in Scotland, the UK or overseas
Experience of managing film crews, production teams and cast, budgeting and scheduling
Experience supervising film or TV productions from script through production and post-production to delivery including knowledge of UK film and TV industry trade association contracts and agreements
Excellent interpersonal and organisation skills

Salary: £43,482 p/a (pro rata)
