As a Building Safety Specialist, you will work with our team of professional consultants, undertaking a critical and client-facing role, ensuring the safety and compliance of our client's high-rise residential buildings, located across the UK, via professional support and advice.
This position naturally involves some UK-wide travel, conducting gap analysis and risk assessments, and supporting clients with the preparation and ongoing maintenance of their safety case reports in accordance with the Building Safety Act 2022.
What you’ll be doing:
- Conducting in-depth building analysis, compiling detailed reports on findings and recommendations.
- Reviewing and assessing client documentation relating to their Safety Management Systems.
- Preparing gap analysis reports and developing health and safety and fire safety management systems.
- Preparing draft policies, procedures, and risk mitigation strategies and assisting with the successful implementation of these
- Actively engaging with clients to provide constructive feedback, guidance, and safety advice.
- Staying abreast of current legislation and advising clients on compliance requirements.
- Ensuring clients' continued compliance with government guidance and building safety requirements.
- Experience and qualified in completing Fire Risk Assessments
About you:
- A background in health & safety management systems, including policy generation and implementation
- A comprehensive understanding of the application of regulatory safety requirements to residential properties
- Level 5/6 safety-related qualification (NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent).
- Level 4 or higher Fire Risk Management qualification
- Demonstrable commitment to continuous personal growth within professional development via relevant and appropriate levels of membership with industry bodies
- Keen interest and understanding of health & safety, fire safety legislation, building regulations, and British Standards.
- Relevant and demonstrable experience applying the aforementioned criteria within residential properties
