Support Worker Position (This is a working nights vacancy) – Full time (36 Hours)

Ty Gwernen is a quiet, welcoming residential care home supporting seven adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs. As a long-established service, it provides a warm, homely environment with a friendly and dedicated staff team. Set in a peaceful location with stunning views, the home offers good transport links to Blackwood, Newport, Bargoed, and Cardiff via nearby train stations.
Within your role:
Support individuals with to live a fulfilled and meaningful life through the delivery of structured daily activities and supporting them into the local community.
A focus is placed upon developing levels of independence through engagement in Daily Living Skills such as cooking, cleaning, and shopping.
You will encourage individuals to maintain healthy standards of personal care, promoting the engagement in washing and bathing.
To provide emotional/wellbeing and mental health support.

We’re Looking for People Who:
✅ Understand the importance of a supportive & inclusive environment
✅ Have a proactive mindset, resilience & a can-do attitude ✅ Possess strong communication & organisational skills ✅ Have experience in mental health & learning disability support (desirable) ✅ Hold (or are working towards) a Level 2, 3, or 4 Diploma in Health & Social Care (preferred but not essential)
