Relief Security Officer – Yorkshire Sites
Pay Rate: £13.45 per hour

Our client is a female-led organisation championing diversity and inclusion across the security industry, delivering professional, bespoke security and facilities management services across sectors including education, healthcare, corporate, logistics, social housing, utilities and retail.
We are recruiting Relief Security Officers to provide cover across multiple utility sites in Bradford, Sheffield and Leeds. This is a zero-hours relief position offering an immediate start, with full site training provided.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the security of the sites, supporting on-site teams and ensuring all site procedures and client instructions are followed at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out regular site patrols.
- Monitor CCTV systems where applicable.
- Undertake access control and gatehouse duties.
- Complete patrol, incident and observation reports.
- Maintain effective communication with the Control Room, Site Managers and Line Managers.
- Assist site staff when required.
- Ensure the security and safety of the site at all times.
Essential Requirements
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor (DS) licence – essential.
- Valid SIA CCTV licence – essential.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work both weekdays and weekends.
- Good written English with the ability to complete accurate reports.
- Good verbal communication skills and confidence using two-way radios.
- Comfortable working independently.
- Smart and professional appearance.
- Up-to-date smartphone to access the company app.
- Ability to follow site instructions and report incidents promptly.
Desirable
- Previous Control Room experience.
