Bank Activities Coordinator
Heathview Rose Care Home is looking for a creative, enthusiastic and compassionate Bank Activities Coordinator to join our team.
As our Activities Coordinator, you'll play a key role in enhancing residents' quality of life by planning and delivering engaging, meaningful activities that promote wellbeing, independence and social connection. Every day is different, whether you're organising events, leading group activities, supporting one-to-one sessions or building links with the local community.

About the Role
As our Activities Coordinator, you will:
- Plan, organise and deliver a varied programme of meaningful activities for residents.
- Create engaging group and one-to-one activities that promote physical, emotional and social wellbeing.
- Tailor activities to residents' individual interests, life experiences, abilities and cultural backgrounds.
- Encourage residents to remain active, independent and socially connected.
- Organise celebrations, themed events, entertainment, outings and community-based activities.
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, volunteers and local community groups.
- Support residents living with dementia by delivering meaningful, person-centred activities.
- Maintain accurate records of activities and resident participation.
- Contribute to newsletters, displays and social media content that showcases life within the home.
- Work closely with the Home Manager and wider team to continuously develop and improve the activities programme.
- Ensure activities are delivered safely and in accordance with Health & Safety guidance.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience planning and delivering activities, events or wellbeing programmes.
- Has experience working with older people, ideally within a care home or healthcare setting.
- Is creative, enthusiastic and passionate about improving residents' quality of life.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Is confident building positive relationships with residents, families, volunteers and community groups.
- Is organised and able to plan a varied programme of activities.
- Has basic IT skills and is confident using email, Microsoft Office and social media.
- Has an understanding of person-centred care and promoting independence.
- Has experience supporting people living with dementia (desirable).
- Holds a relevant qualification in Health & Social Care, Activities Provision or a related subject (desirable).
