Based out of our city centre offices in Exeter and operating a modern, hybrid workplace, join a fast-paced Managed Service Provider (MSP) and work with companies with a handful of users, all the way up to large enterprise-sized businesses, educational organisations, and charities with thousands of users worldwide.
What’s needed
We are seeking a highly motivated, results-driven Lead Generation Specialist/Business Development Executive to join the IT Champion sales team. This role is primarily focused on outbound sales activity, identifying and qualifying new business opportunities through proactive engagement with prospective clients.
You will play a critical role in building the sales pipeline by initiating conversations, generating qualified leads, and booking appointments for senior sales stakeholders. This is an ideal role for someone with a strong background in outbound prospecting, cold calling, and lead generation, who thrives in a target-driven environment.
On commencement, we will work with you to create a personal development plan and identify and roadmap your progression path and will work with you to adapt this as you develop.
You’ll have:
- Proven experience in outbound lead generation, telesales, or business development
- Strong track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets and KPIs
- Confident and professional telephone manner
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to quickly build rapport and handle objections effectively
- Self-motivated, resilient, and driven to succeed
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Experience using CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar)
Desirable:
- Experience within IT services, MSP, or technology sector
- Understanding of Microsoft 365, cloud solutions, and managed services
- Experience targeting SMEs, charities, or mid-market organisations

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct high-volume outbound calls to prospective clients across target sectors
- Identify and engage key decision-makers within organisations
- Generate and qualify new business opportunities aligned to IT Champion’s services
- Book high-quality meetings and demos for the sales team
- Build and maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified leads
- Research target organisations and tailor outreach accordingly
- Maintain accurate records of all interactions within CRM systems
- Follow up on marketing campaigns, inbound enquiries, and dormant opportunities
- Work closely with sales and marketing teams to refine outreach strategies
- Meet and exceed agreed KPIs such as call volumes, conversion rates, and booked meetings
Performance Metrics (KPIs)
- Daily/weekly outbound call volumes
- Number of qualified leads generated
- Meetings booked for the sales team
- Conversion rates from calls to opportunities
- Contribution to the overall sales pipeline

Salary between £32,000 – £35,000 per annum (Plus commission), based on experience
