Overview:
At Colliery Smokehouse, we pride ourselves on the quality and calibre of our bar team. We are looking for bartenders who are experienced in fast paced, high quality hospitality service to join us on our journey of developing this new and exciting business.
Starting at £13 /Hour, however we are open to negotiation based on previous experience.
With Colliery Smokehouse being an independently owned business, we offer uncapped progression for the right people that show initiative, creativity and always bring solutions to the table instead of problems.
Cocktail experience is not compulsory but is highly favorable.
Responsibilities
- Serve drinks and food efficiently and courteously to customers at the bar and in the designated areas
- Prepare and mix beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware and utensils
- Ensure compliance with food safety and licensing regulations at all times
- Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the till system
- Monitor customer behaviour to promote responsible drinking and safety
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth service throughout shifts
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests in a friendly and professional manner
Requirements
- Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant setting is essential
- Experience in cocktails and mixology is beneficial
- Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible serving practices is advantageous
- Strong communication skills with the ability to serve customers effectively
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and calculating bills
- Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy periods
- Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- A friendly, approachable demeanour with a positive attitude towards guest service
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required; full-time or part-time hours available
