Ofsted Registered Manager – Supported Accommodation (16–18)

We are looking for an experienced and ambitious Ofsted Registered Service Manager to lead our newly Ofsted registered Supported Accommodation service for young people aged 16–18 in Swindon.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Service Manager, Service Manager, or experienced Deputy Manager ready to take the next step in their career. We are looking for a confident, proactive leader who can hit the ground running, take ownership of the service, and build on an already established and positive relationship with the Local Authority.
The service is a beautifully furnished home providing young people with a safe, supportive environment where they can develop the skills, confidence and independence needed for adulthood.
Importantly, staff team is already in place, giving you the opportunity to focus on leading, developing and strengthening the team rather than starting recruitment from scratch.
As this is a dual Registered Manager/Responsible Individual role, you will have responsibility for both the day-to-day management of the service and its wider regulatory, compliance, quality and governance arrangements.
The Role
You will take the lead in ensuring the service is safe, compliant, well-led and focused on achieving positive outcomes for young people.
About You
We are looking for a proactive and confident leader who can hit the ground running and take ownership of the service. You will be someone who can identify priorities, make sound decisions, lead a team effectively and drive high standards without needing constant direction.
You will ideally have:
- Management experience in Supported Accommodation, Residential Childcare, Leaving Care, Housing Support or a similar setting.
- Experience working with young people aged 16–18.
- A Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management, Residential Childcare, Health & Social Care (Children and Young People), or an Ofsted-accepted equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, risk management and regulatory compliance.
- Understanding of the Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023 and Ofsted expectations.
- Experience working with Local Authorities and external professionals.
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for vulnerable young people.
- Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to complete the required checks.
- A full UK driving licence is desirable.
