Responsibilities
- Assist children with daily living activities, such as household tasks.
- Communicate effectively with children, families, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive support network.
- Implement and monitor care plans, adapting them as necessary to meet the evolving needs of the individuals in your care.
- Drive to various locations as required for home visits or community activities.
- Maintain accurate records of support provided and report any concerns or changes in behaviour or condition.
- Foster a positive environment that encourages growth, learning, and social interaction among children.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure high-quality care is consistently delivered.
Skills
- Previous experience working with children is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with children and families.
- Familiarity with IT systems for record-keeping and reporting purposes is advantageous.
- Ability to develop and implement individual care plans tailored to each child's unique needs.
- A valid driving licence is preferred for travel between locations.
- A caring attitude, patience, and the ability to work well under pressure are crucial for this role.
