Location: Council Headquarters, Almada Street, Hamilton
Hours: 21 hours per week, fixed term for up to 9 months
Work Pattern: Monday to Wednesday 8:45am to 4:45pm
Salary: £25,336 - £25,895 per year
Finance and Corporate Resources are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our IT Service Centre Team as a Service Centre Engineer.
Duties will include:
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues
Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person
Document and track issues using a ticketing system
Help with installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT Systems
Perform routine system checks and maintenance to ensure optimal performance
Support in monitoring network performance and security
Participate in on-site shadowing and training to enhance technical skillset
Assist in preparing and updating IT documentation
Provide excellent customer service by addressing user inquiries promptly
Ensure user satisfaction by following up on resolved issues
Assist in analysing recurring faults and identifying trends to support proactive resolution and service improvement
Support work scheduling and coordination with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely delivery of installations and minimise disruption
