Blacker Hall Farm restaurant The Barn Kitchen is looking for a brilliant Front of House Team Member to join our experienced and busy team.
We are a very busy farm shop restaurant, serving breakfast and lunch to a mix of regular customers, families, visitors and food lovers. We’re looking for someone who genuinely loves hospitality, enjoys being around people and understands that great service is about so much more than simply taking an order and delivering food.
You’ll be the kind of person who wants every customer to feel valued, looked after and a little bit special. Someone who notices the small things, takes pride in what they do and wants customers to leave already thinking about when they’ll come back.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR…
- Previous front of house/waiting experience is essential.
- Someone who would genuinely describe themselves as a great team member.
- A natural love of people and a genuine interest in creating an excellent customer experience.
- Someone warm, friendly, confident and attentive.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Someone who notices what customers need before they have to ask.
- The ability to stay calm, organised and friendly when we’re exceptionally busy.
- Barista trained - although not necessary is preferred.
- A team player who enjoys working alongside an experienced and supportive hospitality team.
- Someone who takes real pride in their work and wants to continually improve.
WHAT THE ROLE INVOLVES…
You’ll be an important part of our Front of House team, helping to deliver a fantastic breakfast and lunch service from welcoming customers through to taking orders, serving food and drinks, making coffee and ensuring everyone has a great experience.
We’re looking for someone who understands that hospitality is about creating an experience. That experience might be remembering a regular’s coffee, checking that everything is just right, anticipating what a table might need and making people feel genuinely welcome.
Daytime hours mean no late night finishes, making this a great opportunity for someone looking for a full-time hospitality role with a better work life balance.
