The Role
We are currently recruiting Production Operatives – Exhaust MIG Welders to join our manufacturing team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for welding exhaust and emissions components to a high standard, ensuring products meet quality specifications and production requirements. Applicants should have experience with MIG welding, ideally within an automotive or manufacturing environment, and be confident working with light-gauge steel between 1.5mm and 2mm thickness.

Key Responsibilities
· Perform MIG welding of exhaust and emissions components to required quality standards and design specifications.
· Fabricate and assemble exhaust systems by welding multiple components together.
· Inspect welds and finished products to ensure they meet quality requirements and carry out any necessary corrections.
· Operate, maintain, and clean welding equipment in accordance with company procedures.
· Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve production targets and maintain workflow efficiency.
· Follow all health and safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE and safe working practices.
· Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
Candidate Requirements
· Proven experience as a MIG welder; experience welding exhaust or emissions components is highly desirable.
· Experience working with light-gauge steel.
· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
· Proficiency in operating MIG welding equipment and associated tools.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
· Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently when required.
· Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
· Previous experience within the automotive or manufacturing sector is preferred.
Working Hours
This role operates on a weekly alternating shift pattern, totalling 37.5 hours per week.
Week A
· Monday to Thursday: 6:00am – 2:00pm
· Friday: 6:00am – 12:30pm
Week B
· Monday to Thursday: 2:00pm – 10:30pm
· Friday: 12:30pm – 5:00pm
Overtime opportunities are regularly available and paid at the applicable overtime rates.
