Job Title: Storage Operations Assistant (Part Time)

Hours & Schedule:
- 10 hours per week (2 shifts of 5 hours)
- Plus an additional 5 hours on alternate Saturdays
About the Role:
This is a part-time, fixed-term position introduced specifically to cover a period of sickness absence within our small, close-knit team.
Please note that this contract is directly tied to the duration of our permanent team member's absence. The contract will conclude either upon their successful return to work or if there is a permanent change to our staffing structure. We anticipate the role lasting for a minimum of 3 months, and we will provide regular updates and standard contractual notice throughout the term.
While this is initially a fixed-term cover role, there is a possibility it may transition into a permanent position in the future, subject to our ongoing business needs and permanent staffing structure.
Key Responsibilities:
Based at our Brownhills facility, your daily tasks will include:
- Maintaining the overall cleanliness and safety of the self-storage site.
- Assisting customers with moving in and out of the facility.
- Receiving deliveries on behalf of customers.
- Carrying out basic site maintenance tasks.
- Answering phone calls and emails and taking payments.
- Handling enquiries from new and existing customers.
- Completing the paperwork needed to sign up new customers.
Requirements:
- Comfortable handling basic maintenance and physical tasks.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Experience operating a forklift truck would be an advantage, but is far from essential.
