Literacy Cover Supervisor – Wrexham
Excell Supply are recruiting enthusiastic and motivated Literacy Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Wrexham.
This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with a passion for literacy and education to gain valuable classroom experience while supporting students in developing essential reading, writing, and communication skills.
The Role
As a Literacy Cover Supervisor, you will:
- Deliver pre-planned literacy and English lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher.
- Supervise whole classes and ensure pupils remain engaged with their learning.
- Support students in developing reading, writing, spelling, and comprehension skills.
- Encourage participation and promote a positive attitude towards learning.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil engagement and lesson progress.

- A strong interest in English, literacy, and education.
- Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Confidence in leading groups of pupils independently.
