We have an exciting rare opportunity for a Nursery Manager to lead our busy and well-established Space Station Day Nursery in Droylsden.
Space Station operates as part of a unique dual-site nursery provision, working closely with our sister setting, Launch Pad, located just across the road.
Space Station caters for our younger children, from babies through to toddlers, while Launch Pad provides care and education for our older age groups. The two nurseries work closely together, providing continuity for children and families as they progress through their Early Years journey.
Launch Pad is led by a highly experienced, long-standing Nursery Manager, giving the successful candidate the benefit of working alongside an established manager as part of a supportive dual-site management team. This provides an excellent opportunity to share ideas, experience and best practice while still taking full responsibility for leading and developing the Space Station team.
We are looking for a confident, organised and motivated leader who is passionate about delivering outstanding care and education and can inspire a team to maintain the highest standards.
The Role
As Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Leading, supporting and motivating a busy nursery team
- Overseeing the day-to-day running of Space Station
- Working collaboratively with the Nursery Manager at our sister site, Launch Pad
- Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, care and education
- Ensuring compliance with the EYFS, Ofsted requirements and company policies
- Managing staffing, deployment and ratios
- Supporting staff development through supervisions, training and performance management
- Building strong relationships with children, parents and families
- Supporting children with additional needs and promoting inclusive practice
- Monitoring occupancy and supporting the continued growth of the nursery
- Working closely with our Head Office team and wider management team
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds a Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
- Has strong knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding
- Has previous leadership or management experience within Early Years
- Is confident managing a large, busy nursery environment
- Has excellent communication and organisational skills
- Can motivate, develop and get the best from their team
- Is confident dealing with challenging situations and making decisions
- Leads by example and maintains high professional standards
- Is passionate about achieving the best possible outcomes for children

Salary: £34,850 plus additional bonuses
