Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook meals according to specified recipes and standards
- Ensure all food is prepared fresh, presented attractively, and served promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock rotation and ordering when necessary
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Assist with meal planning and menu development as required
- Serve food efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen or restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Culinary experience or relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential for entry-level candidates
- Previous experience in serving or front-of-house roles is advantageous but not mandatory
