The Eastern Landlords Association (ELA) is a leading membership organisation supporting residential landlords. Established in 1989, we provide fast, factual, and practical advice to help landlords stay compliant, profitable, and confident.

The Role
This is a varied and hands-on role at the heart of the organisation. You will be advising landlords daily while also playing a key role in driving engagement through marketing, content creation, and digital communication.
You’ll interact with members from all backgrounds, providing trusted guidance and helping us grow and modernise our offering.
Key ResponsibilitiesMember Advice & Support
- Provide clear, practical advice to landlords via phone, email, and in person
- Assist members with compliance, tenancy issues, and general landlord queries
- Deliver a high standard of customer service and member care
Administration & Systems
- Maintain and update the membership database and records
- Process renewals and ensure accurate record keeping
- Support day-to-day office operations
Marketing, Social Media & Content Creation (Key Focus)
- Create and schedule engaging social media posts to build ELA’s brand and reach
- Produce content including blogs, emails, guides, and promotional materials
- Assist with website updates, SEO improvements, and content uploads
- Support podcast, video, and event content development
- Help plan and manage a content calendar
- Actively contribute ideas to increase engagement and membership growth
(Experience or training in marketing/content creation is a significant advantage.)
Events & Member Engagement
- Support the organisation of events, exhibitions, and member meetings
- Assist with exhibitor coordination and logistics
- Help grow member participation and community engagement
Additional Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and systems
- Collaborate with the wider team to support growth initiatives
- Contribute to new projects, campaigns, and service improvements
About You
We are looking for someone who is proactive, personable, and comfortable working across multiple areas.
Essential:
- Excellent communication skills (phone, email, face-to-face)
- Strong organisational and record-keeping ability
- Confident using Microsoft Office and digital systems
Desirable:
- Experience in property, lettings, or being a landlord
- Social media marketing, content creation, or digital marketing experience
- Basic understanding of websites, SEO, or content management systems
- Creative mindset with the ability to generate engaging content ideas
(Training will be provided for the right candidate.)

Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
