Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our dynamic veterinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our animal patients, supporting our vets, and ensuring the wellbeing of all animals under our care. Responsibilities
- Assisting vets during consultations, surgeries, and procedures with clinical support.
- Administering treatments, medications, and vaccinations as prescribed.
- Monitoring anaesthetic and post-operative recovery of patients.
- Maintaining accurate medical records and updating patient files diligently.
- Providing pre- and post-operative care to animals, including wound management and nutritional advice.
- Performing laboratory tests such as blood work and other diagnostic procedures.
- Supporting client communication by explaining treatment plans and providing advice on animal health and welfare.
- Ensuring the cleanliness and organisation of clinical areas, including kennels, treatment rooms, and laboratory spaces.
- Assisting with inventory management, stock control, and ordering supplies as needed.
- Upholding health and safety standards within the practice at all times.
Requirements
- Recognised veterinary nursing qualification (e.g., RCVS registration or equivalent).
- Proven veterinary experience with a strong understanding of clinical procedures and animal handling.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping.
- Compassionate approach with excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and team members.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to adapt to varying workload demands while maintaining high standards of care.

Pay: £14.50-£16.50 per hour
