The Emporium is seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing specific sections of the kitchen, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and supporting the overall smooth operation of the kitchen environment. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and standards
- Oversee the preparation of ingredients and ensure consistent quality in meal presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within your designated section, adhering to food safety regulations
- Assist with meal preparation during busy service periods, ensuring timely delivery of orders
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and excellent customer service
- Monitor stock levels within your section and communicate needs for replenishment
- Support training of junior kitchen staff and apprentices as required
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with health and safety guidelines
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations within a restaurant environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Culinary experience demonstrating proficiency in meal preparation and presentation
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure during service hours
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Previous experience serving or working in a restaurant setting is advantageous
