This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred support and who wants to play a key role in shaping services, developing teams, and ensuring the people we support achieve positive outcomes.As a Locality Manager, you will provide leadership and support to Service Coordinators, oversee service quality and compliance, and ensure services are safe, effective, and inspection ready. You will work closely with senior management and external professionals to deliver outstanding support for adults with learning disabilities and other support needs.About the Role You will be responsible for:
- Leading and supporting Service Coordinators across your locality.
- Ensuring services meet Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) standards and regulatory requirements.
- Carrying out quality assurance visits, audits, monitoring visits and service reviews.
- Monitoring care records and service performance using Nourish.
- Supporting staff development, inductions, probation reviews, competencies and supervision.
- Maintaining oversight of staffing levels, rotas and service sustainability.
- Building positive relationships with families, commissioners, social workers and health professionals.
- Attending multi-disciplinary meetings and ensuring actions are completed.
- Supporting investigations, performance management and service improvement activities.
- Participating in the management on-call rota and responding to operational issues when required.
- Producing reports and providing assurance around quality, compliance and service delivery.
What We're Looking ForWe are looking for someone who:
- Has experience managing services within a regulated health or social care environment.
- Has a good understanding of CIW regulations and quality standards.
- Can confidently lead, motivate and develop teams.
- Is organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities.
- Has excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Can challenge poor practice and drive continuous improvement.
- Is committed to delivering person-centred support and achieving positive outcomes.
Essential Requirements
- QCF Level 5 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent), or willingness to work towards it.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Willingness to travel regularly across services within the locality.
- Ability to participate in an on-call rota, including evenings and weekends. Flexibility to undertake hands-on support where service needs require it.
