Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Night/Day Care Assistant to join our care team. This role involves providing high-quality support and supervision to residents in a care home setting, ensuring their safety, well-being, and comfort throughout the day and night shifts. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience in senior care environments. Responsibilities
- Supervise and support residents during night and day shifts, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Assist residents with personal care tasks in accordance with individual care plans
- Lead and oversee activities designed to promote social engagement and mental stimulation for residents
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, adhering to organisational policies and procedures
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure seamless care delivery
- Monitor residents' health status and report any concerns promptly to senior management or healthcare professionals
- Support the implementation of personalised care plans tailored to each resident’s needs
- Supervise junior staff members, providing guidance and leadership during shifts
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care environment
- Assist with mobilisation and transfers using appropriate techniques and equipment
Experience
- Previous experience working in a care home or senior care environment is essential
- Supervising or leadership experience within a healthcare setting is highly desirable
- Knowledge of creating, implementing, and reviewing care plans
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with residents, families, and colleagues
- Driving licence is preferred for transportation responsibilities but not mandatory
- Familiarity with IT systems used for record keeping and reporting in healthcare settings is advantageous

Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour
