We are currently looking for new staff members to join our team working with adults with Learning Disabilities / Autism at our Day Service based in Colne.
If you are patient, understanding, compassionate and caring then you this may be the job for you.. As a support worker you don't need any previous experience in care or support as full training is given for the role as well as ongoing training.
You will work to the needs of the people being supported and their support plans, ensuring that they get the most out of you and the support being provided to them.
You could be doing a variety of activities within the day service such as crafts, baking, cooking to develop life skills to name but a few!
You may also be required to undertake aspects of personal care which may include administration of medication.
We have a Part Time and full time positions available for 18-24 or 30 hours per week.
We require flexibility for this role and the 18 - 24 or 30 hours will normally be worked between the hours of 9-5 Monday-Friday. Availability may be required on rotation on Thursday or Friday evenings 6pm - 9pm to support our social club. Alternate Saturdays may be required in the future.
Previous care experience preferred but not essential as full training is given for the role.
All staff will be required to be DBS checked.
