Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and care
- Ensure food safety standards are consistently met by following proper handling and sanitation procedures
- Engage with customers warmly, taking orders accurately and providing friendly service to enhance their experience
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling snacks or light meals when needed
- Manage cash register transactions efficiently using basic math skills for accurate payments and change
- Maintain cleanliness of the workspace, equipment, and customer areas throughout your shift
- Support inventory management by restocking supplies and notifying management of low stock levels
Experience
- Previous barista experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for coffee culture is essential
- Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure hygienic handling of beverages and snacks
- Experience in serving customers in fast-paced environments to build rapport quickly
- Ability to perform food preparation tasks with attention to detail
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods
- Basic math proficiency for cash handling and register operations
- Comfortable working independently or as part of a team in a lively setting
