Tyreco Trading are seeking a motivated and reliable Warehouse Operative / Shunter to join our busy warehouse team in Hailsham.
This is a hands-on role involving warehouse operations, vehicle movement within the yard, and the loading and unloading of tyre deliveries. The successful candidate will have warehouse experience, must hold a valid HGV licence, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Load and unload tyres from lorries and vans.
- Move HGVs safely around the yard for loading and unloading activities.
- Assist with stock management and inventory control.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Follow all health and safety procedures at all times.
- Support the wider warehouse team as required.
Essential Requirements
- Valid HGV licence (essential).
- Proven experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment.
- Experience with picking, packing, and stock control processes.
- Ability to safely handle heavy loads and perform manual handling duties.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Flexible, reliable, and team-oriented approach.
