Sous Chef – The Grocer at 33, Pinner

Location: The Grocer at 33, Pinner High Street
Hours: Full-time, 45–48 hours per week

The Grocer at 33 is an independent Italian restaurant and deli in the heart of Pinner. We make our pasta fresh every day, fire pizzas in our wood-fired oven, and showcase the very best seasonal produce, including ingredients from our own Wild Farm.
We're looking for an experienced Sous Chef to work alongside our Head Chef, helping lead a talented kitchen team and delivering exceptional food every service.
What you'll be doing
- Supporting the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
- Leading the team during service and maintaining high standards.
- Preparing fresh pasta, Italian dishes and seasonal specials from scratch.
- Training and developing junior chefs.
- Managing stock, ordering and minimising waste.
- Ensuring excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards.
- Helping drive consistency, quality and innovation across the menu.
What we're looking for
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or an experienced Junior Sous ready to step up.
- A passion for fresh, seasonal ingredients and Italian cuisine.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Calm under pressure with excellent organisational skills.
- High standards of cleanliness, presentation and attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and a genuine passion for hospitality.
