Overview
Xeal Pharma Ltd is a fast-growing UK pharmaceutical “specials” manufacturer, and we have an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, growing business. We’re looking for placement-year students or recent graduates (BSc Pharmacy) who want hands-on GMP experience in a modern compounding environment supporting patient-specific medicines.
You’ll join our Production team, manufacturing and packaging products to GMP, following SOPs and batch sheets, and contributing to a clean, efficient, right-first-time operation. You’ll be trained and assessed on core compounding skills, batch documentation, and clean-room hygiene.
Responsibilities
- Compound and package products exactly to SOPs and Product Batch Sheets; complete start-up checks and record all steps/variances.
- Verify documentation (authorisations, materials, labels) before manufacture; select utensils and equipment appropriately.
- Dispense ingredients/containers, maintain accurate dispensing records, and sign/date batch sheets on completion.
- Place products for production review and report discrepancies to senior staff.
- Help with stock checks, expiry monitoring, clean-room cleaning, and washing/turnaround of utensils.
- Uphold GMP, health & safety, and engage in training/CPD to continually improve.
Qualifications
- Related degree
- Right to work in the UK.
- Sharp attention to detail, consistency, and strict adherence to procedures.
- Good and reliable vision for precise work.
- A proactive, intuitive learner who prioritises workflow, works well independently and in a team, and delivers courteous, prompt service.
- Ideally, relevant work experience in a GMP/GDP, hospital, or community pharmacy setting and a masters, and familiarity with quality management systems and completing right-first-time batch documentation.

Pay: £13.00 per hour
