Walton Landscape Supplies Ltd is a fast growing independent builders and landscaping merchant supplying trade and retail customers across Surrey and South London. We're looking for a reliable, hardworking 7.5 Tonne HGV Driver to join our friendly team based in Chessington.
The Role
As one of our drivers, you'll be delivering a wide range of landscaping and building materials, including fencing, timber, paving, aggregates, and other merchant products to customers across the local area. You'll be the face of the business, so excellent customer service is essential.
Responsibilities
- Deliver building and landscaping materials safely and efficiently.
- Carry out daily vehicle safety checks.
- Heavy lifting when loading & unloading.
- Load and secure goods correctly before each journey.
- Provide excellent customer service on every delivery.
- Complete delivery paperwork accurately.
- Assist in the yard when required.
- Ensure compliance with all driving regulations and company procedures.
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence.
- Valid Category C1 (7.5 Tonne) licence.
- Valid Driver CPC qualification.
- Digital Tachograph Card.
- Good knowledge of driver hours and vehicle safety.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Experience within a builders merchant or landscape supplies business would be an advantage but is not essential.
- Forklift experience is desirable but not essential.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday 7am - 5pm.
- Half day every other Saturday 7.30 - 12pm on a rota basis.
