Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Construction Labourer to join our dynamic construction team. Duties
- Assist with site preparation, including clearing debris and setting up safety barriers
- Support skilled tradespeople such as carpenters, masons, electricians, plumbers, and welders in their daily tasks
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely to perform tasks like cutting, drilling, and assembling materials
- Help with roofing, plastering, masonry, and construction painting as needed
- Handle fabrication and basic carpentry work under supervision
- Follow schematics and blueprints to ensure accurate installation and assembly
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite by disposing of waste and storing tools properly
Skills
- Prior experience in construction or related fields is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in construction environments
- Basic knowledge of roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical systems, masonry, and carpentry techniques
- Ability to read schematics and follow detailed instructions accurately
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
- Good communication skills to work effectively within a team
- Safety-conscious attitude with understanding of construction site safety protocols
