Class 2 Hooklift Driver/General Operative - Flexibility with travelling to sites within a nationwide portfolio.
Role Overview
We are looking for a competent Class 2 Hooklift driver/General Operative to assist the Small Works Team with moving various materials/loads around sites, to other locations and to waste facilities. As the Hooklift driver it will be your responsibility to ensure all waste is suitably relocated and/or disposed of properly.
The Small Works Team are responsible for a variety of jobs but mainly Demolition of commercial properties and creating yard space. Should there be no wagon driving work on a particular job, the successful candidate should assist the team with other general duties.
For this role you will mainly be working away and involves travelling to a nationwide portfolio.
The goal with this role is to make the work jobs more streamlined and ultimately speed up the timeline, save on costs and enable the team to move onto the next job.
The role is hourly paid and either a company van or fuel package will be included.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
· To transport loads from one site to another or to a waste facility with the full responsibility of ensuring loads are reaching their destination in a safe and timely manner.
· Carrying out muck away and backfilling operations.
· To move small plant from the plant yards to the current job and return in a safe and timely manner.
· To complete any relevant paperwork/electronic records with transporting loads and/or plant and machinery.
· To adhere to all Health and Safety procedures and rules and to raise any issues to your line manager should any arise.
· To assist the team in any other duties or adhoc tasks as and when required.
Qualifications & Experience Required
· Must have CSCS card
· Must be physically fit to carry out labour works and driving of plant including the correct knowledge of how to use the tools and plant to hand
· Must be able to drive various types of vehicles such as vans, skip wagons, flatbed trucks etc
· Experience of driving heavy machinery desired but not essential
· Must be able to pass a motor vehicle record check and drug/alcohol screen/physical
· 12 months experience of Wagon/Plant driving essential
· 12 months experience of Labour word preferred but not essential
· Valid CPC Card
