We’re looking for a Plant Operative to join our Leeds, Knostrop Incineration Plant, playing a vital role in the safe and efficient delivery of waste to and from our site. You’ll be involved in the receipt, storage, treatment, and disposal of clinical waste while maintaining the highest standards of Health & Safety.
*Successful candidate will be required to complete a DBS security check.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Mainly working out in the yard, loading and offloading waste bins to and from trucks.
- Assisting with shutdown periods – cleaning facilities and supporting engineers with maintenance tasks.
- Ensuring waste containers are emptied, cleaned, and repaired for reuse.
- Completing paperwork and operational records accurately.
- Carrying out basic maintenance (so knowing your way around tools is a plus!).
What We’re Looking For:
- A reliable team player who can work under pressure.
- Someone with flexibility around shifts and working hours.
- Previous plant/process experience – preferred, but not essential.
- The ability to handle physically demanding work (inside & outside).
- A forklift truck licence would be a bonus – but don’t worry, we’ll train you if needed!
