Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating large commercial vehicles to deliver goods efficiently and reliably across various locations.
Duties
- Safely operate HGV Class 1 vehicles ensuring compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after each shift to guarantee optimal safety and operational readiness
- Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, delays, or any issues encountered on the road
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial driver with a valid HGV Class 1 license (C+E)
- Previous delivery driver experience with a strong understanding of route planning and time management
- Knowledge of current road safety regulations, tachograph rules, and vehicle maintenance procedures
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high attention to detail
